Dear my Fellow Americans,
Today I am feeling I should be apart of the government in some way, therefore, I will be. But really, the snow is coming down hard here in the snow belt of Chardon, OH. and the eggs I devoured for breakfast have quickly been digested, making my stomach yearn for more food. I should fix that problem. Aside from my miniscule troubles of hunger, exciting things are happening!
I have been contacted by some girls also looking for roommates and a place in NYC, so we have been emailing and looking for a place, and hopefully a fourth girl. It is a ton of work, trying to figure everything out and seeing if we can make things work.. but I feel fairly good about the situation. We have decided April 1st is a good move in date, although I may have to push it to May 1st, but then again it might have to be even sooner than April. At the time it is very hard to tell. But the process of heading back to the big city is at work. I have been absolutely loving being home, but I am exciting for when the time will come, I am ready to get back on the ball with things. When it comes time to leave, a part of me will be extremely excited, but I know a part of me is going to have a hard time, even though I know more of what to expect this time, I think it will be harder to do it.. and maybe that is because I do know. Spending time with my parents, reconnecting with friends and mostly making some incredibly wonderful new friends and building new relationships is really where it is going to throw me I think. It will be hard to leave. But one thing I know is that the ones who are real will still be around no matter the location I travel to.
As for being at home, it is nearing the end of January. CRAZY! I had first expected to be back in the city but this time, happily I can say I'm not.. I freeze when I'm there in the winter. (Lydia and I conserved a lot of energy and didn't use our heat much..) West Side Story has its second weekend of performances starting tonight!! Opening weekend went absolutely swimmingly! Aside from a few things, but for the most part it went well. We got a great article written on it. http://www.geaugamapleleaf.com/ArtsTheatre/West-Side-Story-1-26-12 <<< Which will hopefully get people to come out and see it, I have a feeling this weekend already will be packed, everyone and their mother's cousin is coming on Saturday. Quite exciting!! It is SUCH a fun show, with a great cast, not a moment do I regret doing it, I only think how silly it would have been if I didn't. It is going to be very sad once it is over. But these last two weekends are going to be awesome!!! Also, I hopefully, probably got a job at Joey's Italian Grille!!!! I know it's like whooaa... big deal, (very sarcastic) but it is! I have been trying to get a job for such a long time, and no one will ever hire me. I have only babysat and worked at the theater. I finally talked to the manager and told her how it is and it went well. I am going in Monday to have an interview, so it isn't for sure.. but we will see what happens! I guess that is the exciting news of what it going on at home for right now. My piano lessons are going very well also.
School... I'm like.. DONE! I finished math yesterday with my Tutor Rosie Meek! Hallelujah!!! I may go back just to freshin up some stuff with it and to see her, because she is the coolest!! She makes this amazing cinnamon bread too! Seriously, to die for! Then I have British Lit, which I am basically done, I am reading Pilgrim's Progress.. except.. I can't really find it.. and I am reading plays which is an eternal duty for me to preform. Right now I am on Act 2 of Lend Me a Tenor, can't wait to find out what happens with Max! So basically I am done with high school! WHAT? That's weird. It's funny how much more I have learned in life than I ever have from a book or a classroom. Weird right? not really. Anyways, so I am basically graduated, the paperwork just needs to be done and I need my diploma! Brandon Douglass and I decided we should have a ceremony for me at the theater... stay tuned for that!
Big News... Now, this is where things really get exciting. First of all, I will start with my facebook page. I had made a facebook page a while back, but I never had much to put on it and it felt so silly to me, to make a fan page for myself. But recently some things have been happening and it was finally time to really get on the ball with it! It was posted yesterday around 12pm it is now 11am and there are 168 "Likes" yay!!!!! There is no doubt that the love and support I have is amazing! For many different reasons you need people backing you up and even if my number stayed at 168 I couldn't ask for better people! But NOW... for the reason this is all going on..
Back just before Thanksgiving I mentioned I was contacted by someone, whom I don't think I should release the name, but we met at the ARTS, 2 summers ago, and he found my info and contacted me, saying he wanted to get me some connections and all this really cool stuff! So, just that he took the time to call me, and we played phone tag a little bit, was AWESOME! He said he really thinks I have the potential and when he see's someone he is excited about he just wants to help them succeed. So.. after a while we had a few conversations and he said he making some calls and things, and I would always be really unsure about something or doubting things and then I would get myself in the right mind and realize I just need to let it go and pray about it all. "Cast all your cares on the lord, for he cares for you" -1 Peter 5:7 The lord would quickly answer my prayers of request for guidance, and often with a phone call from this guy! It was amazing. Jan. 23rd I was being a grump, and waking up to get things done and back in the swing of things after the awesome weekend of West Side, I cleaned, I ate, I accomplished things, and I started a new play, I began to doze while reading, laying on the comfy chair in the living room and slept for a good.. 2 and a half.. 3 hours. Once I woke, I felt the need to check my phone, it hadn't been with me all day. So I went upstairs and just as I suspected.. 2 missed calls and voicemails. One being from a Mikaela, and the other from this guy.. Lets call him.. Charlie. I was like WHAT? Why did he call, and dang it I missed it again.. So I listened to the message he had left... "Hi Sarah, I hope you had a great weekend, it is monday the 23rd. I wanted to let you know I just got off the phone with "Important Man" Who I was telling you about last time. He said he has availability, I got him very very excited, I've been having actually several phone calls with him about you, and he is very pumped to meet you. So This is great news! He said Friday, Feb. 17th he is available... and he goes on to ask if that works for me and other details. CRAZY!!!!! AHHHHH LIKE WHAT?!?!?!??! big deal.. soooooo basically I have a meeting set up with "Important Man" in Sarasota, FL. on Friday Feb. 17th! I might die... I can't give away much info about him but he is HUGE in the music industry, works with like everybody. It's crazy! So it doesn't necessarily mean that anything will happen, but the fact that I get to meet with this guy is HUGE in itself. So I am very pumped to see what happens, also quite scared.. like WHAT AM I GOING TO WEAR? and MY HAIR? and... what I really should worry about is what song should I sing.. awe man its troublesome. But that is the craziness that is going on for now. Charlie is supposed to call me today with more details on the whole situation and I need to read up on "Important Man" and start getting myself ready. It's 3 weeks away, but that isn't too much time! I am hungry for some business!!
The rest of my day will go as follows... After I post this, I will make a protein shake and read up on "Important Man", I will then go out to the building and discuss with mother some things worthy of discussion. I will email back the girls about roommate type things. I will then return inside, to change and go to the YMCA with Brandon, for workout time. We will then hopefully have time to grab some pre show lunch! I will then return home to take a shower so I don't smell, or rather so I smell lovely instead of horridly, I will get my stuff together and hopefully be able to squeeze in some time for some piano practicing! I will then drive over the Klein's house where Mik and I will be merry! Along with more of the Klein family. (Best family ever) We will then eat something, of deliciousness I am sure, then we will drive to theater, where the partying will begin. We are big on dance parties and just general all the time having a good time! I will then get ready for the show, and BAH PREFORM WEST SIDE STORY! Once that is over and we have taken our bows and greeted the lovely audience, its PARTY TIME AGAIN! Assuming we will go out somewhere (probably Cleats) for good time cast fun. After that I will hopefully return to my home and slither into my bed and sleep alll through the night!
Man I have a busy day ahead of me and time is slipping away!!! I gotta get busy!! So long for now!!!

Capre diem!
Dear Friends,
I can't put what I want to say in words so I am just not going to say it right now. So much has happened since I have last blogged, a whole world of things, it's hard to grasp. Since April, I've moved out of New Jersey, made some incredible connections, gone on a lot of auditions, made new friends, had life threatening experiences, and learned a lot.
I have been back in Ohio since August, right before the hurricane (Irene?) I can hardly remember now, hit the east coast. Lydia and I made it a whole year, it was a really great, long, strange, tough, unbelievable year. I moved back to finish High School at home. I am doing 2 shows while I am home. The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe, and West Side Story. Narnia opens... TOMORROW! Which is absolutely insane! I am a Dryad and Adult Lucy. I sing through out the show with some music that was added, do some set changes, become evil as a cloaked dryad, and I am Adult Lucy at the end. It was a very fun show and I think it will be pretty good, fingers crossed. It's really great to be back at the theater working with old friends and just being silly and having fun. I am doing West Side Story, which opens at the end of Jan. I am Anita, which is beyond exciting, it is going to definitely be an awesome role for me, different than I am normally cast, instead of the sweet, demure, innocent one, I get to be a bit sassy and on fire! I am excited about that as well! Christmas is also coming up, and I LOVE christmas so that will keep things busy! I'm also hoping to get a job while I'm home, I have applied a few places, and no luck but thats why the hunt continues!
John Degrazio from Captiol Records, whom I met at the ARTS back last summer, called me just before Thanksgiving, I missed his call which is oh so unfortunate, gave him a call back but got voicemail. Very busy man I presume, and I just have to keep contacting him. Besides the fact it is super exciting he did give me a call, and I really hope I can get back in touch with him! I also took a visit back to New York, when my manager got me an interview with Carson-Kolker Agency, now freelancing with them and excited to see what comes of it!
The trouble I have now is being back in Ohio, I can't wait to finish school and have it off my back, but I also am just trying to enjoy my time home as much as possible, but I need to get on the ball with my career. I turned 18 in October, so finally I am legal, I don't like the thought of being so old, (even though 18 is very young) but it does make a lot of things much much easier! What I wanted to say in the beginning, keeps coming up and its that I always catch myself at times thinking I really need to get rolling with this or that. For example this blog... I am not a blogger, I don't do well with keeping up to date with it, but there are things like this and facebook, and twitter, and youtube, and just general marketing skills that you have to keep up on. Thinking about things like that make me crazy, because I know they need to be done, but golly I only partially know how to go about doing it.
I think what I have come to realize, is that everything is just a bit jumbled, and I think that is because of the place I am at right now. I need to little by little work on all these little things to prepare me for when I really get going, because at this point, I can only prepare, but not being in the city, means I can't only do so much. But you know what... I can do something, it even if I keep coming back to saying this and then falling behind a bit it, it is time to get moving, and if I only move forward a little bit, then I am a little bit closer to where I want to be, if I wait to say its not to get moving, or don't because I know I'll fall behind then I've already moved backwards 10 steps.
So, now that I have pumped myself up by my own cliche, motivational speaking.... I have one thing to say..
CAPRE DIEM!

busy is best
Dear Bloggies,
Look! I am getting better! There isn't much to talk about mostly because.. I've been sick! yuck! I started getting sick like.. Wednesday, what a pain. I've just been laying around, it got so terrible, today I couldn't stand it, so I left and went for a walk. It really was such a good thing though, I haven't been on a real walk in a long time, and it was really nice. I went to a cute little park and it was really nice, perfect weather, and I just had my sweat pants, and a sweat shirt on. I do believe I probably looked quite silly, but I don't think anyone cared. Anyways, It was really nice to just relax, get fresh air and think. I talked to my brother Seth on the phone and we had a really nice conversation, he is a great older brother! Now.. the other two gotta step it up. :P It was a nicer day than my other sick days, and maybe that is mostly because I am almost all better! Also, I think I am excited I will be busy the next few days and I am MUCH better when I am busy, I believe most people are. After all.. "An idle mind is the devils workshop."
Tomorrow, or technically today I am first heading to church and then straight to a Model Call, for designer Thomas Lavone, I modeled for him for New Jersey Fashion Week back in... gee some months ago, So I am going to check it out and see how it goes, hopefully very simple and painless, then I will be off to an audition for a movie, exhilarating! hahah. that should be fun I hope! It shall be exciting, and see how things go, lets hope good things!
Yesterday, I had an audition for model print, for Invisalign. I was kind of thrown off because I wasn't informed it was commercial print and not commercial copy. but oh well. lesson learned from experience, and besides the fact it went well. I then was headed to Capezios to get myself some new Tap shoes, so I can start tap. isn't that AWESOME! On Monday I am planning on taking my first class here.. kinda scary. I took tap in the past for a year or so. So, I am not completely oblivious to it all, but with these people basic is 0-2 years. duh cuz they are professionals, but it shall be fun! I am excited! I am also going to be taking my ballet class, which might I add I love! The teacher I have been taking from, Joy, is the best! She is from Cleveland.. yeaa represent! and She is just so sweet and really good, everytime I think to much about it or take the class it kills me though because I want to be like absolutely incredible at it! don't worry.. one day! :P Monday I will also hopefully take another class, but I am still deciding on that one, hopefully a jazz class. Tuesday I babysit. Wednesday I have Ballet and a Voice Lesson, and Thursday I babysit and theennn.... I come HOME! yes, I am heading back to Ohio, for my April, Easter visit! how exciting! I am excited! it shall be lots of fun!!
Well, thats about all for now, I better get to sleep, I have a busy day tomorrow! We will talk soon and have results on how things go!

It's been a while
Well Hi,
Clearly, it's been quite sometime, and I also not very good at blogging. Kinda like journaling, people keep telling me to, and I have sooo much going on to write about and remember that I really should, but some people love it, and I write too much. But lets see.. it seems quite a lot has happened.
Since coming into the New Year, coming back to New York, was its usual, hard to do and took a lot to prepare mentally and physically, especially because I was home for a little over a month, the night before we were going to leave, we got hit with a really bad snow storm and stayed longer, which was good, because for me, it prepped me better and I was ready to go back, this time coming back has been....
Well as I said before I am not good at blogging, I started that post and the left to go to a super bowl party and I am finally getting back! But, good news! I am hopefully going to be doing a Full-Voice 30 Day Challenge for the month of May, it looks like an awesome thing and will be very disciplined and a lot of hard work! But, I think it would be a great opportunity and something really fun to do! I have to post all of basically the evidence on my blog, how exciting! So, now I am trying to iron out it all so I can be prepared for it!
Aside from that excitement, I have been keeping busy and having a great time too! I did an 8 week dance workshop with Bev Brown, every Saturday, doing hip-hop/funk, her classes are really intense, but SO much fun! We had the performance at the Alvin Ailey Theatre in NYC last weekend. It was such a fun experience, I met some really great people, and the workshop overall was very helpful towards my dance, as well! I took a 9 week Broadway Musical Theater Class at ATNY, which was a really good experience as well. I had the opportunity to meet, and show my talents to some great Broadway Casting Directors, and I got a better feel for auditions for musical theater, rather than film and television.
I have signed with Parkside Talent Management and I now have a Personal Manager, cool huh? hahaha, pretty sweet. Although, with this industry, most of it is all on you. If you don't fight for yourself, no one is going to fight for you. If you get lucky to have someone fight for you, no one will fight for someone who wont fight for themselves. So clearly, it takes a lot of work, determination, passion, and you have to know what you are doing, if not, you fake it!
I recently got a REALLY great babysitting job, 15 minute walk, although the mother picks me up, and it is such a blessing! There are 3 kids, ages 1, 3, and 5. The Mother stays home and is pregnant with her 4th, crazy! But, she normally has the youngest with her, and the other two are wonderful, well behaved, good kids, we have fun and it is so perfect to have!
I am excited I will be visiting Ohio again this month for Easter and I am very excited about that! My mom and I are going to paint my old room and it is going to be all redone. Even though I don't live in it anymore it is still pretty exciting! and PROM! beginning of May, yes I am going to prom! I don't know about you but I am very excited!!

Nov. 30
Dear fellow Ozians,
I do not think any of you are Ozians.. and I don't even think I am spelling that right.. but thats what came to mind so I said it. I went back home to Ohio for thanksgiving, which was quite wonderful I must say, but today I am back! Although this time, Lydia stayed home for her new nephew was recently born and Christmas is coming soon! Both oh so super exciting! SO, Grace, my sister, has come with me and we are to adventure the city and explore together. We arrived today around 4:47ish. Quite the drive I'll say. Went to the farmer's market, showed Grace the apartment and made dinner, we watched Nanny Diaries, which is a GREAT movie!!! and had some tea. Grace complains that the only movies in the apartment are romantic comedies, quite frankly I love all types, but Lydia is much more for the lighter types, and Grace is not.. I find it quite funny.
I have a few different things coming up.. Voiceover session tomorrow, an audition in Maryland on the 12th, possibly an audition on the 6th.. although there is a workshopish thing my voice teacher Barber suggested I go to also on the 6th.. and there is something else on the 6th.. but I don't remember what that one is so I don't think I will be doing that.. I have the cabaret to go to and practice for.. I don't remember if I told you.. but I auditioned basically to have my own cabaret show, at this really neat lounge, they are interested but I need to bring 15 friends, so if you would like to come see me do a cabaret show.. oh do so let me know! :)
There is much more to be done, but my brian is beginning to enter overload mode, and I can't think straight or about anything I have to do. I hate it when that happens.... and now I have stepped away from the blog and COMPLETELY forgot what I was talking about.. except for a reminder I really need to continue to work on songs and get a bunch down, if you have any good suggestions let me know. Also, they can be any type of genre!
Now, I am very tired even if it is only 10 pm. Tomorrow is a big day, hopefully! Now to get some rests, thanks for reading and check out my webpage.. as it says on the blog, which is really my youtube. a webpage.. ahh what I clever idea.. :))
Goodnight Moon.

Nov. 14, 2010
Greetings fellow readers,
Well.. to be honest.. not much has gone on since I have last informed. The deal with the crawl space, nothing ever happened, we haven't talked to landlord.. and so far we have been safe. I had a voiceover session last wednesday and we worked on 3 in a rows, quite interesting and really deepens your thoughts on emotions and feelings and reactions to things. When doing 3 in a rows, which are commonly used in auditions, you say the same line 3 times in a row with a breath in between and said differently each time. The different ways to say it have to be dipped under the umbrellas of Happy, Mad, and Sad. This is only because we are working with real person. A real person can be in any mood and so they can say a line with whatever mood they are in. But.. within those umbrellas of happy, mad, and sad, there are emotions that tag onto those and you have to change that up. For example, thrilled, excited, blessed, and friendly go under happy. frustrated, yelling, compelled, and stubborn under mad.. and so on. So not only in voiceover work does that help, but as an actor it really broadens my thoughts on way deeper into emotions and really figuring out what those emotions are, how they are portrayed, the body language and facial expressions used in each. Even though that brings on a lot of work, it is a great knowledge builder and something that can be used for many different aspects of an artists life and career.
Tomorrow is... AMERICA'S GOT TALENT!!!! WOOOHHOOOO!! Now isn't that exciting!! hurrayy!! So, the earliest you can line up.. is 6:00. So that means... today Lydia and I are going to make posters and then we wake up at 5:00 and get on the bus about 5:30 and then into the City!!! WWWOOOOHHOOOO!!!!!!!! Get in line!!! and we will have hopefully an exciting day!!!!! THEN... We are off to.. now sure the location off the top of my head.. but it is an open mic night and they are looking for new talent.. for contracts or something of the sort, and so I am off to do that. Hopefully tomorrow will be an exciting and fun filled day! and soon enough Lydia will be getting the call that her sister is in labor and she will be off to Ohio for the new baby Thomas to be born!!! Let's just hope it happens after tomorrow!! and then later this week, Momma, Dee, and Sister Grace are coming to visit! oh so exciting! can't wait!!
The other day I also submitted myself for a movie.. called... The Last Messagers.. a christian movie that looks really cool! I got a response and I have an audition for that in December! wooohoo!!! Thats super exciting!!
I made a video to submit or a recording company they are looking for 16-25 year old singers for a possible contract and that jazz, that just needs to be submitted! and we will see if anything comes of that!
My sister and I are hoping to submit ourselves to a reality show about sisters and brothers and yada yada reality show. So when she visits we will hopefully get some good pictures of us and get that submitted and see where that goes!!
I have to get some new headshots and resumes printed out and sent to the makers of Avatar 2 and 3 for the casting!!! that's pretty slim but they are looking for totally new to major fame people. So New Zealand to shoot avatar. wouldn't that be awesome!!!
I think thats about the excitement now! chyes! and now we just made lasagna!! So excited for that! and now we need to make signs for America's Got Talent. tomorrow! what to put on them... ??? hmmmm
Well.. to be honest.. not much has gone on since I have last informed.
THEN... Hello Young Chipplings!
Well, today was quite the exciting day! We have only been back for a day and I have accomplished much! I got a nice wake up call from mother and finally got up, did some facebook, school, watched old videos with Lydia, more school, worked out, practice voice, got a call from America's got talent and looked up the info for the paperwork, we made a delicious dinner, had that and took a shower.... and then... once I got out of the shower I went to brush my teeth.. I was listening to my last recorder voice lesson with barber... and it all the sudden stopped and my phone started vibrating.. golly who could be calling.. ahh it was momma! So I pick up and am like hey ma I'm brushing my teeth and just in a towel I just got out of the shower.. and so continues.. (although let me go back a day.. yesterday during my skype with friend Jenni Tuttle I gave her a tour of the house and when I went to the laundry room and looked up to show her the little door to the crawl space.. and THE DOOR WAS TO THE SIDE AND IT WAS OPENED!!! pretty much terrified. and so we got the ladder and Lydia looked a bit around with the flashlight and close it. we didn't think much of it) and so Mother says.. when Lydia told me about the crawl space door I didn't think much of it but I was talking to her mom about it.. and I think you need to go up there and take a flashlight and just look around and see what you find if there is anything suspicious at all or anything and don't say to much. Lydia thought.. ohh its all so silly.. but I was terrified.. especially since I wasn't even dressed!! and so she said maybe we should just call him. so I said perfect do so! So lydia calls up the Landlord and says.. we noticed the door was open we just wanted to make sure that was you and yada yada.. (we know he was in the apartment to cuz he said he fixed the shower and everything).. and he says. No I didn't go up there.. WHAT??????? and he laughed and said he hasn't been up there and then a little later said I will be up to fix the heat or somethin or other... umm hmm.. and so we were freaked cuz we know we didn't go up there I haven't even seen it. and the door had to have been pushed and flipped open.. and its heavy so you gotta be strong... so we called my mom and went on a big investigation all around and found another door above the other one and tried to open it but it was clearly old so we decided not to. we then went on a major investigation of every part of the apartment and my father and mother were looking up the type of firealarms making sure they were all good and everything. So we are now.. okay, everything appears fine.. although WHO WAS IN THE CRAWL SPACE!!!!! Now that's WACK! so.. we are going to ask him again when we can talk to him and try and figure out the mystery.. so as you can see we have had an exciting day.. and I still wasnt able to figure out what I am doing for my America's Got Talent audition! I'll let you know what happens...
Also, I kinda said it but YEAA BUDDY I am auditioning for America's Got Talent next monday.. yes I do not have anything prepared. I am going to sing.. and it is really just to be for fun, I need to make myself unique so if you have any ideas let me know.. I am thinking about standing on my head and singing.. but I don't know.. :P Well.. thats about that for now.. time for some more tea!! :)
