Nov. 30

Dear fellow Ozians,

I do not think any of you are Ozians.. and I don't even think I am spelling that right.. but thats what came to mind so I said it. I went back home to Ohio for thanksgiving, which was quite wonderful I must say, but today I am back! Although this time, Lydia stayed home for her new nephew was recently born and Christmas is coming soon! Both oh so super exciting! SO, Grace, my sister, has come with me and we are to adventure the city and explore together. We arrived today around 4:47ish. Quite the drive I'll say. Went to the farmer's market, showed Grace the apartment and made dinner, we watched Nanny Diaries, which is a GREAT movie!!! and had some tea. Grace complains that the only movies in the apartment are romantic comedies, quite frankly I love all types, but Lydia is much more for the lighter types, and Grace is not.. I find it quite funny.

I have a few different things coming up.. Voiceover session tomorrow, an audition in Maryland on the 12th, possibly an audition on the 6th.. although there is a workshopish thing my voice teacher Barber suggested I go to also on the 6th.. and there is something else on the 6th.. but I don't remember what that one is so I don't think I will be doing that.. I have the cabaret to go to and practice for.. I don't remember if I told you.. but I auditioned basically to have my own cabaret show, at this really neat lounge, they are interested but I need to bring 15 friends, so if you would like to come see me do a cabaret show.. oh do so let me know! :)

There is much more to be done, but my brian is beginning to enter overload mode, and I can't think straight or about anything I have to do. I hate it when that happens.... and now I have stepped away from the blog and COMPLETELY forgot what I was talking about.. except for a reminder I really need to continue to work on songs and get a bunch down, if you have any good suggestions let me know. Also, they can be any type of genre!

Now, I am very tired even if it is only 10 pm. Tomorrow is a big day, hopefully! Now to get some rests, thanks for reading and check out my webpage.. as it says on the blog, which is really my youtube. a webpage.. ahh what I clever idea.. :))

Goodnight Moon.

Nov. 14, 2010

Greetings fellow readers,

Well.. to be honest.. not much has gone on since I have last informed. The deal with the crawl space, nothing ever happened, we haven't talked to landlord.. and so far we have been safe. I had a voiceover session last wednesday and we worked on 3 in a rows, quite interesting and really deepens your thoughts on emotions and feelings and reactions to things. When doing 3 in a rows, which are commonly used in auditions, you say the same line 3 times in a row with a breath in between and said differently each time. The different ways to say it have to be dipped under the umbrellas of Happy, Mad, and Sad. This is only because we are working with real person. A real person can be in any mood and so they can say a line with whatever mood they are in. But.. within those umbrellas of happy, mad, and sad, there are emotions that tag onto those and you have to change that up. For example, thrilled, excited, blessed, and friendly go under happy. frustrated, yelling, compelled, and stubborn under mad.. and so on. So not only in voiceover work does that help, but as an actor it really broadens my thoughts on way deeper into emotions and really figuring out what those emotions are, how they are portrayed, the body language and facial expressions used in each. Even though that brings on a lot of work, it is a great knowledge builder and something that can be used for many different aspects of an artists life and career.

Tomorrow is... AMERICA'S GOT TALENT!!!! WOOOHHOOOO!! Now isn't that exciting!! hurrayy!! So, the earliest you can line up.. is 6:00. So that means... today Lydia and I are going to make posters and then we wake up at 5:00 and get on the bus about 5:30 and then into the City!!! WWWOOOOHHOOOO!!!!!!!! Get in line!!! and we will have hopefully an exciting day!!!!! THEN... We are off to.. now sure the location off the top of my head.. but it is an open mic night and they are looking for new talent.. for contracts or something of the sort, and so I am off to do that. Hopefully tomorrow will be an exciting and fun filled day! and soon enough Lydia will be getting the call that her sister is in labor and she will be off to Ohio for the new baby Thomas to be born!!! Let's just hope it happens after tomorrow!! and then later this week, Momma, Dee, and Sister Grace are coming to visit! oh so exciting! can't wait!!

The other day I also submitted myself for a movie.. called... The Last Messagers.. a christian movie that looks really cool! I got a response and I have an audition for that in December! wooohoo!!! Thats super exciting!!

I made a video to submit or a recording company they are looking for 16-25 year old singers for a possible contract and that jazz, that just needs to be submitted! and we will see if anything comes of that!

My sister and I are hoping to submit ourselves to a reality show about sisters and brothers and yada yada reality show. So when she visits we will hopefully get some good pictures of us and get that submitted and see where that goes!!

I have to get some new headshots and resumes printed out and sent to the makers of Avatar 2 and 3 for the casting!!! that's pretty slim but they are looking for totally new to major fame people. So New Zealand to shoot avatar. wouldn't that be awesome!!!

I think thats about the excitement now! chyes! and now we just made lasagna!! So excited for that! and now we need to make signs for America's Got Talent. tomorrow! what to put on them... ??? hmmmm

Nov. 8th 2010

Hello Young Chipplings!

Well, today was quite the exciting day! We have only been back for a day and I have accomplished much! I got a nice wake up call from mother and finally got up, did some facebook, school, watched old videos with Lydia, more school, worked out, practice voice, got a call from America's got talent and looked up the info for the paperwork, we made a delicious dinner, had that and took a shower.... and then... once I got out of the shower I went to brush my teeth.. I was listening to my last recorder voice lesson with barber... and it all the sudden stopped and my phone started vibrating.. golly who could be calling.. ahh it was momma! So I pick up and am like hey ma I'm brushing my teeth and just in a towel I just got out of the shower.. and so continues.. (although let me go back a day.. yesterday during my skype with friend Jenni Tuttle I gave her a tour of the house and when I went to the laundry room and looked up to show her the little door to the crawl space.. and THE DOOR WAS TO THE SIDE AND IT WAS OPENED!!! pretty much terrified. and so we got the ladder and Lydia looked a bit around with the flashlight and close it. we didn't think much of it) and so Mother says.. when Lydia told me about the crawl space door I didn't think much of it but I was talking to her mom about it.. and I think you need to go up there and take a flashlight and just look around and see what you find if there is anything suspicious at all or anything and don't say to much. Lydia thought.. ohh its all so silly.. but I was terrified.. especially since I wasn't even dressed!! and so she said maybe we should just call him. so I said perfect do so! So lydia calls up the Landlord and says.. we noticed the door was open we just wanted to make sure that was you and yada yada.. (we know he was in the apartment to cuz he said he fixed the shower and everything).. and he says. No I didn't go up there.. WHAT??????? and he laughed and said he hasn't been up there and then a little later said I will be up to fix the heat or somethin or other... umm hmm.. and so we were freaked cuz we know we didn't go up there I haven't even seen it. and the door had to have been pushed and flipped open.. and its heavy so you gotta be strong... so we called my mom and went on a big investigation all around and found another door above the other one and tried to open it but it was clearly old so we decided not to. we then went on a major investigation of every part of the apartment and my father and mother were looking up the type of firealarms making sure they were all good and everything. So we are now.. okay, everything appears fine.. although WHO WAS IN THE CRAWL SPACE!!!!! Now that's WACK! so.. we are going to ask him again when we can talk to him and try and figure out the mystery.. so as you can see we have had an exciting day.. and I still wasnt able to figure out what I am doing for my America's Got Talent audition! I'll let you know what happens...

Also, I kinda said it but YEAA BUDDY I am auditioning for America's Got Talent next monday.. yes I do not have anything prepared. I am going to sing.. and it is really just to be for fun, I need to make myself unique so if you have any ideas let me know.. I am thinking about standing on my head and singing.. but I don't know.. :P Well.. thats about that for now.. time for some more tea!! :)

Nov. 7th, 2010

Dear Bloggers,

I believe it is time for me to really start blogging, I've wanted to journal but never been able to. and so now I am officially starting this, which I think is like a journal, except the real private stuff that will go else where! :P Now where to begin..

I am a small town girl from little town called Chardon Ohio born and raised, I am a singer/actor/dancer/model and 17 years old. I recently have signed with a commercial and commercial model print agency in New York City, and in order to work with it and to pursue my dreams, this is the prime place to do it! So with a close family friend Lydia a.k.a. secretariat who is 23 years old we moved out to a town in New Jersey, 20 minutes from the city. It is just the two of us and life here is a crazyy adventure and I am going to bring all my stories or as many as I can here. I have 2 wonderful parents, 3 brothers, and a sister and I am the baby. I love them all soo much, but with the kids already gone before I left so leaving was hard but mostly cuz of my parents, but they are so supportive it works soo well!! I have had quite the adventures already and I would LOVEE to share them although it has been like 2 months and much has happened. We recently have been home for weddings and we returned here last night. It is getting cold.. not sure about that weather! yikes!!

To explain a little about things I might talk about.. I am taking voice lessons with a wonderful women named Joan Barber.. right now she and her boyfriend Norm (best name) who is an acting coach, they are also actors themselves, went out of town for a while so I wont be having lessons until after the 17th. I am also taking VoiceOver training with another wonderful and awesome woman Joan Baker.. yes their names are like the same so we are gonna go with last names. Barber- Singing, Baker- Voiceover.. I got contacted with Baker when I did a photoshoot with Jeff Fasano who is such a sweet and cool man. I got new headshots and had such a great time doing the photoshoot with him... and now that I have quite possibly confused you with a bunch of jumbled messiness. I have kind of explained a bit of what is going on. But it is getting late and I am skyping with my good friend Jenni Tuttle back home so it is time to end for the night and come back and continue in the exciting life of a 17 year old insane, quirky, weirdo, pursuing her dreams on a risking chance!! Thanks for reading! :)

NYC- Days 2&3

Oh byy gollly!! Has it been a full 2 days or what?? We will start with yesterday.

Friday July 22nd, 2010.
We slept in late to get some rest, so we were off to a late start and ended late as well. Once we woke up and got going it was about 2. and we didn't get to the city until about 4. It was a very relaxed and nice day. It was also Lydia and Aunt Tracy Reid's first time in the city so that was pretty exciting! We walked to Times Square went to Starbucks and hung out there and it was great! After we finally decided on what show to see and we went with West Side Story. (note: discounted tickets for $62, for front mezzanine row H, origanially $121 tickets! pretty sweet!!) the show was really really incredibly awesome! I loved it! and I cried! awwee! Then we came out to the AWESOME lit up busy busy Times Square!! such a sight to see that was! Then Lydia and I went to American Eagle and got our picture taken TWICE and we were up on a huge billboard in Times Square! that was awesome! we then went down to Nizza a super good pizza place, and then rushed to the train and got on the last one! at about 1:02. and back to the home about 2:30. 3:00 to bed. it was a great day thats for sure!!

Saturday July 23rd, 2010.
Now, this was today and a bit more fresh! We started out with breakfast in NJ which turned out pretty decent, we then headed off to where the workshop would be! aahh exciting!... WAIT! NO! We had breakfast in NJ on Friday. we had breakfast today in the city! right by where we had the workshop! we got there early and went in. The most I can tell now. is that it was 5 hours of informative and awesome information and consisted of a verrrryyyy tired Sarah! But there were 2 guests and it was just soo great! We then went and had a cupcake! and that was delicious! and headed off to Little Italy and ate at Angelo's which is possibly one of the most incredible restaurants I have ever eaten at! We then were quite rushed again to catch the 9:07 train. Which I wont even bother to tell you the troubles! ohh and coming in made friends with the train conductor Dave! He took a picture with Madeline! reallly nice man! and coming home a homeless man asked for money and we said no sorry, and he started to fake cry, and my mother said sorry we're broke, no money. and he stopped and said ohh ohh yeaa thank you I appreciate that, I appreciate that. and we finally got to walk away.. aahhaha. ohh sadd. We have all been on lack of sleep and very tired so laughing very hard and loud has definitely been going on! love it! and now it is times for me to get ready to get in bed and be prepared for the BIG day tomorrow! we do scene work at class! Super exciting!!! We'll see how it goes! Definitely Dreamin BIG! :)

NYC- Day 1

Today we woke up at 4:00 and left the house 4:28. We boarded our plane at about 6:35 and took off about 6:44. We arrived in the Big Apple at 7:44 a.m. and off to our adventures. We had some trouble at first but then got into the city. Went by bus to Grand Central Station, and we were guided to the bus which would then take us to Penn station by a very flirtatious man. Finally, after arriving at Penn Station, we began our travels through the beautiful city. We walked and walked, up to where we stored our luggage for the day, we continued on and once we reached Times Square we started our search for Carnegie Deli, and asked many policemen who didn't even know. Once we found it I scarfed a grilled chicken sandwich and half of my mothers sandwich, along with an incredible taste bud tingling chicken noodle soup! From waking up at 4:00 a. m. it has caused us to be very tired so we walked to Central Park where we are station now. Mom fell asleep a little bit ago, people are doing yoga, a man is playing a violin type instrument, picnics are happening, bike riders, aggressive and not so aggressive runners are running. The sun is shining beautifully and you couldn't ask for it to be better..except maybe a cushion for my bottom. It is now 1:45 p.m. and I am unaware of our later activities, except for when we reach destination NJ home until the 27th. We are staying with a close friend Joe's Aunt and her son. They are very nice and it should be very exciting! This place is exhilarating and at times indescribable. People watching I must say is a favorite of mine, and you see every kind of person, with every emotion... and just an fyi a man who just ran by ran by about an hour ago! crazzy! back to what I was saying. There are people crying, people laughing, smiling, dumbfounded, angry, inexpressible, happy, apprehensive, anxious, silly, off, sleepy, ecstatic, moody, playful, creative, in their own world, focused, nice, different, try hards, friendly, easy going, careless, it goes on. I suppose if you pay attention anywhere you will see all of that as well. But in a place like this the diversity is much more apparent then it would be.. say in a small town like Chardon perhaps. A nice man just waved to me, I think it might have been because I was looking around and possibly right at him. haa. I guess it makes sense. Well now that I have completed most of my analyzing, I believe it is time to wake up mom and let me take a nap in Central Park. :)
