NYC- Day 1
Today we woke up at 4:00 and left the house 4:28. We boarded our plane at about 6:35 and took off about 6:44. We arrived in the Big Apple at 7:44 a.m. and off to our adventures. We had some trouble at first but then got into the city. Went by bus to Grand Central Station, and we were guided to the bus which would then take us to Penn station by a very flirtatious man. Finally, after arriving at Penn Station, we began our travels through the beautiful city. We walked and walked, up to where we stored our luggage for the day, we continued on and once we reached Times Square we started our search for Carnegie Deli, and asked many policemen who didn't even know. Once we found it I scarfed a grilled chicken sandwich and half of my mothers sandwich, along with an incredible taste bud tingling chicken noodle soup! From waking up at 4:00 a. m. it has caused us to be very tired so we walked to Central Park where we are station now. Mom fell asleep a little bit ago, people are doing yoga, a man is playing a violin type instrument, picnics are happening, bike riders, aggressive and not so aggressive runners are running. The sun is shining beautifully and you couldn't ask for it to be better..except maybe a cushion for my bottom. It is now 1:45 p.m. and I am unaware of our later activities, except for when we reach destination NJ home until the 27th. We are staying with a close friend Joe's Aunt and her son. They are very nice and it should be very exciting! This place is exhilarating and at times indescribable. People watching I must say is a favorite of mine, and you see every kind of person, with every emotion... and just an fyi a man who just ran by ran by about an hour ago! crazzy! back to what I was saying. There are people crying, people laughing, smiling, dumbfounded, angry, inexpressible, happy, apprehensive, anxious, silly, off, sleepy, ecstatic, moody, playful, creative, in their own world, focused, nice, different, try hards, friendly, easy going, careless, it goes on. I suppose if you pay attention anywhere you will see all of that as well. But in a place like this the diversity is much more apparent then it would be.. say in a small town like Chardon perhaps. A nice man just waved to me, I think it might have been because I was looking around and possibly right at him. haa. I guess it makes sense. Well now that I have completed most of my analyzing, I believe it is time to wake up mom and let me take a nap in Central Park. :)
